BOOM
An exhibition about sound, field recordings, and works by artists who incorporate noise, music, or related imagery in their creative practice. BOX was transformed into an ad hoc recording studio, the walls lined with egg cartons and a sound system installed. Audience members were invited to remix playback of exhibited artists sound works, and to bring instruments/recordings to add.

DIRT
Tuesday 12th January 2010, 7 - 12pm
A nameless group exhibition about dirt. BOX has been left/will open in it's raw state - with unpainted boards, visible screw heads, and a disgusting floor. Dirty Martini's (olive juice and cheap vodka) will be served. Studio detritus, new films, performances, drawings, paintings and sculptures will be shown. No names named, this is not a show you would want on your CV, or might like to bring relatives to. Something for the new year.
Dress code: 'Breakfast at H.Samuel' (rain macs at dawn)
UNFORTUNATELY BOX IS SITED IN AN UN-RENOVATED VICTORIAN BUILDING WHICH IS NOT CURRENTLY WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. EXHIBITED WORKS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON REQUEST.
